Privacy Policy
Last updated September 10, 2026.
Coast Investment Co LLC ("Shopsitive," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Shopsitive platform at shopsitive.com — software that helps service and commerce businesses run quotes, orders, customers, invoices, payments, and customer portals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit this website or use the platform.
If your business runs on Shopsitive, this policy governs our relationship with you as the operator of that account. If you are a customer of a business that uses Shopsitive (for example, you placed an order or received a quote through a shop running on the platform), that business is responsible for its own privacy practices toward you; we process your information on their behalf, as their service provider, under the terms they've agreed to with us.
This policy works alongside our Terms of Service, which govern access to and use of the platform itself.
1. Information We Collect
Account and business information you or your team provide: name, email, phone number, company details, and billing information (processed by Stripe — we do not store raw card numbers).
Content you enter to run your business: customer and contact records, quotes, orders, invoices, catalog and product data, uploaded artwork or design files, and messages sent through the platform.
Communications: support requests and other messages you send us directly.
Usage data collected automatically: pages visited, browser and device information, IP address, and log data.
Cookies and analytics on this marketing site (shopsitive.com), via Google Analytics — see Section 8.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the platform
- Process payments, through Stripe
- Send transactional email and, where your business has enabled it, SMS messages
- Power optional AI features your business chooses to turn on (see Sections 3 and 4)
- Respond to support requests
- Improve and secure the service, and comply with legal obligations
3. Optional AI Assistant
The CRM AI assistant is an add-on module that is off unless a business explicitly enables it — it is never on by default. When enabled, and only when someone on that business's team requests a customer summary, a follow-up email draft, or an unpaid-balance summary, a limited set of information about the relevant contact or account is sent to Anthropic, our AI sub-processor, to generate the requested text: name, company, email, an open-balance and lifetime-value summary (including last purchase and payment dates), invoice counts, deal titles, stage, and value, and recent activity or task subject lines (including task status and due dates).
Every result is a draft for a person to review — the assistant does not send anything or take any action on its own, and it is instructed to rely only on the information provided rather than infer additional facts. All businesses that enable this feature share one Shopsitive-operated Anthropic account; no business's own credentials are involved. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle data submitted through their API.
4. Optional Voice Receptionist
The AI voice receptionist is a separate add-on module, also off unless a business enables it. When enabled, inbound calls to that business's configured number are answered by an AI voice agent operated through our voice partner, Retell. Calls may be recorded and transcribed; by default both are kept in the business's call log so the business can review them, and a business can turn off keeping them in its own call log at any time. Turning this off does not affect the underlying call record our voice partner and our systems keep to operate the service.
Businesses using this feature are responsible for any consent or recording disclosure required by law in their own jurisdiction when a caller is recorded — the voice agent's own script does not currently include a disclosure line, so this is not handled for you automatically.
5. SMS Communications
Where a business has enabled SMS features, messages to its customers (such as order or callback follow-ups) are delivered through Twilio, our messaging provider. We do not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information with the service providers who help us run the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing ( stripe.com/privacy)
- Twilio — SMS delivery ( twilio.com/legal/privacy)
- Resend — transactional email delivery ( resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Retell — AI voice receptionist calls, recording, and transcription, only for businesses that enable that module ( retellai.com/privacy)
- Anthropic — AI text generation, only for businesses that enable the AI assistant module ( anthropic.com/legal/privacy)
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as your organization's account is active, and afterward as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, or to resolve disputes.
8. Cookies and Analytics
This marketing site uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic, active only on the production site (not during local development). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Your Rights and Data Export
On any plan, you can export your invoices and payments as CSV, and your catalog and settings as a JSON backup, at any time. Contacts, orders, and quotes do not currently have a self-serve export.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us at hello@shopsitive.com. We will respond within 30 days.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures — including HTTPS encryption and access controls — to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the update.
